Wythenshawe's roster for this season also includes former pros such as English and Anfield forward Emile Heskey, Hull and Burnley midfielder George Boyd, Everton forward Oumar Niasse, Wigan defender Maynor Figueroa, Manchester City pair Stephen Ireland and Nedum Onuoha and top-flight title victors Joleon Lescott and Danny Drinkwater.
Collectively, the former Premier League footballers have secured fifteen significant trophies and moved for total transfer sums of around £123 million.
Famous Names and Global Players
Ireland began playing for the team in pre-season this summer through close friend and present team player Blake Norton, and the ex- Republic of Ireland midfielder then invited additional ex-pros, who all compete in a weekly small-sided game, to participate.

"I tell my centre-back 'I'm not hanging back' and that I'm just going to continue running.
"That running is what I'm after. It's enjoyable."
Unreal Feeling
Along with the forward's six goals on his first game, Stephen Ireland has netted eight in 3 games for the side, while George Boyd scored five on his debut match and Lescott, a defender by position, notched a hat-trick in one match as a striker.
The team are top of the Premier Tier with 3 wins from 3 and a goal difference of plus nineteen.
Paul Barrow, 38, who plays on the flank for Collegiate OB, came up against ex- Latics full-back Figueroa on the weekend - and had to tell his young son who Heskey was.
He has played at two World Cups for Honduras, in addition to featuring in more than 200 top-flight matches.
"It was going round like wildfire they had all these ex-Premier League stars," said Barrow.
"I felt I was a bit starstruck facing Figueroa to be honest.
"Also Emile [Heskey] came on and he's got 60-odd English caps.
"We competed well for a solid twenty mins but then we had a man sent off and it was tough.
"We literally haven't ceased talking about it - I was phoning my mum and brother on the journey home.
"They were all friendly, shaking our hands after the game - it was like facing a group of regular fellas.
"Now we are eager for the second match."
